About Quinta S Miguel: Quinta S Miguel is a large villa that’s full of charm and character, and set in a wonderfully peaceful rural location. It sits on 10,000sqm of land surrounded by a whole variety of fruit trees which guests are welcome to pick as and when they are in season (oranges, lemons, figs, olives, grapefruits, apples, plums, pears, as well as loquats). There is a beautiful landscaped garden area around the house, with large terraces looking over a lovely dark blue tiled pool (12m), along with lots of secluded alcoves around the place to sunbath or to get away from it all. There are also two barbeque areas - one by the house and the other at the bottom of the garden. The property, which has its own well and drinking water, is built over three floors, with the master bedroom and its own private terrace area on the top floor. The house has marble flooring throughout which keeps the place naturally cool during the summer and all rooms have mosquito net covered sliding doors.

The location: The house is roughly equidistant from the village of Carvoeiro, the small town of Lagoa and Benagil beach, all of which are about 5 minutes drive away. The beaches nearby are amongst the prettiest in the Algarve - Benagil and Marinha with their spectacular backdrops have been a firm family favourite for years. Portimao and its fantastic fish restaurants is 11 km away. There are also plenty of golf courses nearby (the two 18-hole championship courses of Gramacho and Pinta are 6 or 7 mins drive away, and the 9-hole Vale de Milho closer still). There is a tennis centre about 5 mins drive away, which is open to all, and for the younger members of the family, there is a water slide & Zoo Marine fun park not far away either. There are loads of fantastic restaurants nearby to suit all tastes (and we're more than happy to share some of our favourites - providing you keep them to yourselves!).
