Luxurious yet modern traditionally styled 2 bedroom 4 person apartment situated on the edge of a very quiet village, just a few minutes walk from the village centre, ski- lifts, public swimming pool and golf. (Dachstein Tauern Golf course). Ideal for skiiers or those seeking relaxation. Apartment Krummholz is a fantastic venue for winter skiing or summer retreat, with all modern conveniences, fully equipped kitchen, central heating and heated floors in bathroom and hallway. 223km local skiing over 4 inter-connecting mountains, and also part of the massive Ski- Amade region. Relax with breathtaking views from the apartment and garden over the Dachstein Mountains, and be invigorated by the mountain air. Swim in the outdoor village pool , or the crystal clear fresh water swimming lakes at either Pichl or Aich, both less than a 10 minute drive. Ski gondola is a 10 minute walk, operating summer and winter. The apartment has miles of local marked hiking & cycling routes

  • A 25% (non-refundable) booking fee is required at the time of booking. Full payment for the apartment is required 12 weeks prior to the start of the holiday, as well as a security deposit of £100, returnable in full, (providing no damages occur), on receipt of the keys. A final cleaning fee is also required. In Winter, linen (towels and bed linen) is charged @ 5 euros per person per week. In summer, included in the letting price. As with all European accommodation, tourism tax for adults is 1.5 euros per day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Haus. The property was well presented and clean. It has breath taking views over the Dachstein range. It is in an ideal location, just a short distance from the centre of the village and the local amenities. The local walks provide picturesque views, such as the tranquil lake at Bodensee and the walks at Wilde Wasser. The Dachstein Ice Palace and Sky walk are also well worth a visit. The apartment is also only an hour away from Salzburg and the attractions there: The Zoo, The Helbrunn Water Gardens and Castle are all worth a visit. We would recommend this apartment and we would definitely stay there again.

Nice apartment, beautiful area

This is a really nice little apartment in a stunning part of the world. The views from the front are beautiful, the village is lovely, and the local amenities fantastic.

I guess there might be some drawbacks: the living space is limited and would be tight with 4 adults; the village doesn't exactly have wild nightlife (if that's what you're looking for), and the nearest ski-lift is a bit old fashioned...but the positives far outweigh all that.

The view from the garden and the front of the apartment is stunning. The local outdoor swimming pool, about 10 mins away by foot, is beautiful. The sheer amount of stuff to do (especially for families with the Summercard) is endless. Great place for young kids (though the garden isn't fenced). The village is really attractive. There is an amazing, though expensive, golf course just a short walk down the road.

We went in late summer but I imagine it would be a good base for a skiing holiday too. There are lifts nearby that connect all the way across to Schladming. Beautiful mountain scenery.

Particular recommendations for summertime would be the go-karts above Rohrmoos, for kids of any age. And for those between around 2-9 years, the fabulous cafe/playpark just beyond the park pay-barrier a few miles along the Untertal strasse, heading south from Schladming.

Friendly help from Sue the owner, we had the pleasure of meeting her and her son at the house.

All in all a great week, and our 2 young kids loved it. We hope to come back sometime.
