Come to the Lake in the heart of Italy, near Tuscany and Umbria borders. Our apartment is situated in a quiet lane, just few minutes walk from the centre of the old town with a lovely view across an orchard to the lake. The apartment has the best of both worlds, being close to all Bolsena's main amenities yet located in peaceful surroundings. With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, fully equipped kitchen, utility room with washing machine, small front balcony and full width back sun terrace with lake views, this first floor apartment offers everything a family or two couples could want. It can sleep up to six people, as there is a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge. There is a gated drive with parking for two cars and a private entrance via steps to the apartment and sun terrace. New this season, the apartment has all the facilities you would expect and it is furnished and equipped to a high standard, including TV and sound system with plug-ins for Ipod users.

Bolsena is the capital and jewel of the Lake. The town is a superb base to explore the area and enjoy the local beaches and swim in the fresh water lake. The lake water is outstandingly clear and well stocked with fish, and the town and surrounding area has a number of excellent restaurants where you can enjoy the local catch. Our accommodation is situated near the town center and the lake so it has the best of both worlds.

Secret Gem in the Heart of Italy: Everyone has heard of Lake Como and Lake Maggiore, but few know about the beautiful lake and historic region that lies in the heart of Italy, not far from the popular Tuscan and Umbrian tourist spots and it remains one of Italy's best kept secrets. Located on the borders of Tuscany and Lazio, the lake is formed in the crater of an extinct volcano. The waters are crystal clear and teem with fish, and are ringed with crescents of fine volcanic sandy beaches. The capital of the Lake is Bolsena itself. Once the Etruscan settlement of Volsini and medieval town of miracles, it is famous for its gardens and annual flower festival. We liked it so much we bought this apartment here with a splendid view of the Lake. It is comfortable and fully equipped for the overseas visitor and would make a superb base for your visit here. There is lot else to do here as well as just sun yourself.
