Slano holiday villa: 'St. Peter' Villas

My family and I decided to check out Croatia for a holiday this year.
We wanted a relaxing break in the sun and found ourselves in a beautiful village called Slano, less than half an hour from the magnificent old city of Dubrovnik.

The village nestles under the surrounding mountains and right on a beautiful crystal clear bay which looks more like an inland lake than the Adriatic.
There are lots of lovely friendly pubs and restaurants and now the magnificent new five star Admiral hotel and leisure centre where some of us pampered ourselves in the fabulous relaxation, massage and pool complex ! No rush hour in Slano ! !

We stayed in a lovely new and really well appointed villa called "Villa Arann" which is only a few steps from the beach and a short stroll by the water's edge to the village. It has all the mod cons you could need and is clearly really well maintained.
It has a great patio area for "Al Fresco" dining and the views across the bay to the islands beyond are simply awesome. To the rear are little terraces of olive groves and fruit trees.
It also has dedicated covered parking, though we didn't use the car much; we biked and strolled almost everywhere.

There are some great local ferry trips to the islands offshore. We went to the islands of Korcula and Mjliet and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We also spent a wonderful day in the great old city of Dubrovnik.

Before we left for home, we all agreed to come back again to "Villa Arann" in the future and spend more time exploring this gem of a place, Slano.
