Beachcomber's began as a “bathing hut” for the occupants of the great Carreglwyd estate over 100 years ago. Since then it has slowly evolved into a very comfortable place, still set within the coastline and overlooking the spectacular and undiscovered sandy Borthwen Beach. Beachcomber’s is in an enviable location with the tranquil beach as its garden! With the coast on the doorstep, and in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, the cottage is a perfect place to relax and explore the extended magnificent coastline, with its many hidden coves. There are views of the ocean from each of the two bedrooms (one with en-suite), and the living area has patio doors that open to the decking area on the wild beach garden so you can listen to the curfews. There is an open kitchen and a day room and family bathroom leading off the main living area. There is a small crog loft with access via a steep ladder. Lie in bed and listen to the waves lap the shore or venture to the cliffs to see the breakers roll in.

Down the road at Holyhead, take the ferry across to Dublin to sample the excellent seafood and have a great day out shopping. Notes: There are modern electric storage heaters and a wood burning stove. As there is no double glazing it can become cooler in colder months and when very windy. There is a patio area with BBQ and four chairs/table leading onto the garden which leads onto the beach. Please note this area is unenclosed and may not be suitable for children unsupervised. There is a shared parking area with room for two cars.Two extra fold up beds can be made available along with high chair and travel cot. We offer services such as grocery deliveries, home-cooked meals, baby sitting, papmer evenings, and can arrange horse riding, Go-karting etc. As the Barns is part of Carreglwyd, a large country estate a 20 minute walk away, guests can enjoy the woodland walks and may fish the lake (with permission from the owner – there is a small charge) The accommodation sleeps up to 4. Any additional guests will be charged 10% of the full holiday price. Smoking allowed outside. One dog goes free any additional £20 each

beachcombers is a great place to relax and enjoy life at a slower pace.
its ideal for the coastal path in two directions.
it has lots of character and a nice cottage feel to it.
it also has a good tv/freesat/ dvd set up, just in case the weather changes, as we all know it can.
lots of parking space for your car and small boat.
all in all a great place to stay.
oh and did i mention that the beach is pretty much your garden.
