Beaches and Local Activities:
For the beach lover there are plenty to choose from and all are easily accessible by car. Mar Menor - a blue flagged beach which is extensive in size and 20 mins away is ideal for families as the water is calm, warm and shallow. Walking is also popular along the 7 mile beach promenade. It is also ideal for water sports, including sailing, swimming and windsurfing. Los Alcazares has many restaurants, bars and play areas 15 mins away. Murcia is fantastic for walking, cycling, golf, hiding, mountain bike cycling and horse riding. Cartagena harbour/town full of history and beauty - 25 mins. New, exciting water park in Aquapolis in Torrevieja - 30 mins. A local shopping complex called 'Dos Mares' with an enormous supermarket, many restaurants and a cinema is 20 minutes' drive away. Murcia the capital and two large shopping complexes and a new water / safari pa rkare also 20 minutes away.
Costa Calida and Murcia:
The Costa Calida is situated in the southeast of Spain. To the north lies the Costa Blanca and to the south lies the Costa de Almeria. Translating as the 'Warm Coast' Costa Calida forms the coastline of the Murcia region.
