Deux-Sevres holiday farmhouse: Largeasse

Upon our eventual arrival we were met by the owner and shown around the house, garden and pool. It was quite difficult to find but thankfully the owner had called us en route and given us further detailed directions, without these we never would have found it!
The house, garden and pool lived up to expectations completely and were fantastic! We were a group of 3 couples all of us with children of varying ages and the house accomodated us with ease. Everything was tidy and well maintained and the facilities available were everything we needed. The house sits a couple of miles out of the nearest village and is a ten minute drive from a bigger town with a supermarket.
Onsite we had a choice of areas to sit and eat in with the option to cook in the kitchen or use the outdoor bbq. There was also the pool (which was clean and well maintained), play area for the kids and another area set up to play boules. There were many fruit trees we were welcome to pick from but unfortunately were not quite ripe however we did get some nice blackberries!
The area is very quiet, and there are fabulous views of the night sky as there is no light pollution. You will need a car to get about and there are some nice attractions nearby. Poitiers, Parthenay and La Rochelle were all lovely towns to visit. We also had a lovely meal or two in Bressuire.

We would definitely recommend this to friends and family if they wanted a nice, relaxing trip away from it all.
