Bogaz is situated a few minutes drive away from the Palms resort, You will find a number of eateries in this village along with an excellent sandy beach. Nightlife is low key
Bogaz a beautiful coastal village on the southern edge of the Karpas peninsula, with half a dozen fish restaurants dotted around its harbour. It also boasts some of the finest sandy beaches in Northern Cyprus. A short trip up the coast and you will discover the foundations of Strongylos Castle, a Byzantine watchtower used by the Knights Templar in the 12th Century relax and unwind in the laid back village of Bogaz, one of the finest examples of preserved medieval architecture in the eastern Mediterranean.
Shopping :
You will find local supermarkets on the main road to and from Famagusta, the main shopping area is however in the new town of Famagusta ( around 35 minutes drive away )
Areas of interest :
A short drive up the coast will bring you to the most naturally beautiful part of Northern Cyprus - The Karpaz Penninusula 'Panhandle'. This is the most Eastern point of the island and know as an unspoiled nature reserve for birds, wild flowers and sea life. It is also home to some beautiful deserted beaches a favoured spot for sun seekers.
The stunning landscape here provides an idyllic backdrop for lazy evenings in the sun with a glass of local wine.
Golf:
Golf is available in Kyrenia ( Apprx 1 hours drive away ) this is an 18 hole championship course
