A great family vacation

We had a lovely time at the house, during the 3 weeks we spent there. The village, Alcaidesa, is very nice and pretty, and also very quiet during July. So we were able to enjoy uncrowded beaches and lots and lots of sun.
The house is very confortable, perfectly equipped and maintained. It has everything a family needs. It also has beautiful, uninterrupted views. The description of the place and the house is accurate and the owner was very helpful at all times (even "through" the friendly neighbours).
The less positive things: you do need a car to go to the beach if you have a toddler and all of her parafernalia with you (unless you are interested in a nudist beach). And the sand can have sharp bits of shell, which can be annoying, but solved by getting the kids the right equippment.
All in all it was a great experience! We had lots of fun and enojoyed as much sun as you can possibly get!! And that without mentioning exploring Gibraltar, Tarifa, Malaga... lots to do!
Thank you Nigel and Rosie
Owner's Response: Rosie and I were really pleased you enjoyed our holiday home so much and experienced the magic of the undiscovered beauty of Alcaidesa….not only the views of unspoilt beaches, the expansive greens and walks along virgin coastlines, but also strolling the quiet plaza’s and occasionally stopping to speak with like minded locals who made Alcaidesa their home to enjoy every day. Whilst the house overlooks the beach, access is 5 minutes in total walking down the lane to the designated path that leads across the golf course. And yes you can do that bit in a minute in a car if you have the full beach kit for kids and adults + picnic (no hot dog stands on this beach) because there is a parking area. The sandy beach itself is a bit like what you would find in the Caribbean with occasional shell and some whole that would look nice on a shelf. We look forward to making your return visit even better.
