La Nucia market:
La Nucia Porvilla has the best known flea market in the Costa Blanca each Sunday. Over 400 stalls are presented.
The markets around La Nucia are lively bustling places that are well worth a visit, selling the best fresh fruit and many other food stuffs.
Furniture, stamps, coins and second-hand goods are displayed over an area stretching over more than 1 km in length. This is a colourful, diverse and lively market.
The beautiful setting where this medieval market is held provides an attractive backdrop to the display of traditional trades.
Benidorm beaches:
Benidorm's beaches are justifiably famous and the resort's continuing success owes much to those fabulous golden crescents. Stretching for a luxuriant six kilometres from Levante Beach in the east to Poniente Beach in the west, consistently high quality blue flag bathing, lifeguard patrols, a wealth of water sports and an impressive approach to cleanliness mean these beaches are among the best in Europe. Each has its own particular character so take your pick-
Teenagers visit LEVANTE BEACH to enjoy a sandy social vibe, to see and be seen, and to generally have a good time.
Beyond the Old Town, PONIENTE BEACH is to the west of LEVANTE, and comprises a mammoth golden curl of excellent fine sand. Huge! You'll find MALPAS BEACH close to the harbour, beneath the port and the castle cliffs. Small, pleasant, and usually not very crowded, it's different again to Benidorm's two other main beaches. Around the corner you will find the crescent shaped bay of CALA DE FINESTRAT.
Eating in Benidorm:
Being a major tourist resort with miles of sandy beaches, it is not surprising that Benidorm offers such an enormous number of restaurants and dining venues, catering to all tastes. Restaurants in Benidorm specialise in dishes from all over the world, with Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican and seafood restaurants, together with a number of more traditional Spanish restaurants and fine dining, particularly around Benidorm's Old Town district.
With a steady influx of tourists, restaurants in Benidorm also cater for those with a less adventurous palate, with plenty of English-style restaurants, particularly around the Place de la Constitutión, serving steaks, fish and chips, salads and other dishes, such as the classic English fry-up. Benidorm also contains a host of fast-food restaurants, for those looking to eat quickly, with burgers, fries, pizzas and chicken dishes
Golf:
Close to Benidorm lie a wealth of golf clubs and golf courses, which are particularly concentrated around the Alicante area, nearby Benidorm. The Costa Blanca area is famous its exceptional golf courses, many of which are just a short drive from Benidorm and are known for their coastal scenery and good golfing facilities.
