Chalet Alpstein is conveniently located just a few minutes easy walk from the train station with access to the mountains for skiing and walking. The village high street, shops and restaurants are three minutes walk. Just next door to the Chalet is the sports centre with indoor swimming pool, ice rink and sauna complex. The chalet has satellite TV, DVDs, and wireless internet. We have one apartment for 8 people, two apartments for 4 people and three studios for 2 people. Apartment Alpenrose has 3 twin bedrooms, 1 with en suite bath and toilet, two with showers, the fourth bedroom has bunk beds. It has a large sunny terrace with direct views over the Eiger. Apartment Edelweiss for 4 is a modern open plan apartment, with two twin bedrooms. Apartment Chamois for 4 has one bedroom with a double bed and one with twin bed. Both have sunny balconies with Eiger views. Studios Eiger, Jungfrau and Wetterhorn are all comfortable studios for 2, Jungfrau and Eiger have balconies with Eiger view.

Alpenrose can sleep up to 8 people. It has three double bedrooms each with twin beds. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with toilet. The other two each have their own shower and sink. The fourth bedroom is quite small with a bunk bed best suited for children. There is also a separate small room where a cot can be placed. There is a large open plan living and dining area, with working fireplace. The living area leads out to a large private terrace with magnificent views of the Eiger. The kitchen has a fridge/ freeze, 4 ring hob and electric fan oven. There is a dishwasher and microwave. There is satellite television and a DVD player. There is a washing machine available for guests use in the basement for a small charge.

Grindelwald provides extensive skiing to suit all abilities, with a half pipe and snow park, and 20 km of dedicated tobogganing runs. Grindelwald's three ski areas- from the South facing area of First over to the North facing areas of Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg, the ski pistes face into the valley from all sides so you can tailor your skiing to the prevailing weather conditions. Summer... For walkers there are 300km of marked hiking, walking and mountain trails, set in some of the most outstanding mountain scenery in the world. When was the last time you got up close to a crackling blue glacier?

  • We ask for 20% deposit on booking. The balance is due one month before arrival. The money is paid by bank transfer, we do not accept credit cards. The Tourist tax which is CHF3.60 per person/per night is not included in the rent. On arrival we require a security deposit of CHF300 in cash to cover damage and breakages. We will also collect the tourist tax on arrival which must be in cash. If the property is left in a unsatisfactory state we reserve the right to retain the deposit for cleaning .
