The villa occupies an area of 100sq m and is situated in the village of Lakithra. All over the place you will find tradition and the earth colours will help you immediately to feel like home. Entering you will find the living room with the fully equipped kitchen and the comfortable sofas. At the same floor there is a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom. From the living room you can enjoy the view to the bay of Argostoli and Ainos. By opening the glass doors, you will visit the garden and the pool, that wait to give you moments of relaxation. At the second floor there is a double bedroom with veranda, and a bathroom. We hope you can feel like home.

Villa Mandola is situated in the village of Lakithra. It is 10 minutes away from Argostoli. It has a wide range of shops. You can find tavernas, mini markets, coffee shops, souvlaki places, a pastry shop. The airport is situated in a 10 minutes distance .The nearest beaches are: Saint Thomas, Makris Gialos, Platis Gialos, Minies, Ammes, Avithos. Lakithra was Lord Byron's favourite place where you can enjoy the fabulous sunset. In 20 minutes distance you reach the Monastery of Saint Gerasimos where they produce the famous Robola wine.

Beautiful villa and great hospitality

We have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels, but never experienced the hospitality received from John and Mado. We were welcomed by home cooked food, a fridge full of food and friendliness that is so genuine, we felt like we had known them for years.

The villa is so lovely and comfortable and a lot of care has gone in to making it very comfortable and homely.

If you looking for peace and tranquillity, this is the place to be. The views from the villa are also very beautiful, with views of Argostoli bay. Lakithra is a lovely quiet, pretty traditional village.

We were really sad to leave and hope to return one day.

We arrived tired and in need of a rest, and were greeted by the owner, with a fridge full of local produce, and a meal on the table. It was wonderful, and a lovely start to the holiday. The pool was clean and safe,and although we had a car, the villa is near mini-supermarkets and tavernas.

It is very modern, lovely showers, and comfortable beds. The region has stunning beaches, and the owners were very attentive and cleaned the pool and changed sheets during our stay.

We would recommend this part of Kefalonia and the villa to anyone wanting to just relax.

Enjoyable week in Lakithra

The week began by being welcomed at the airport by the owner and being shown back to the villa which is no more than 10 minutes away from the airport. The villa is beautifully and tastefully furnished and very comfortable - it was cleaned mid week with a change of linen. The kitchen is well stocked should you wish to do any cooking - there are a couple of mini markets and a bakery in the village within walking distance and a larger supermarket approx 3 kms away. There are also several restaurants - of which we sampled two - also within walking distance. Having said that, a car really is essential to be able to visit Argostoli and other areas of the island. The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to visit and obviously take pride in the villa. Altogether the week was thoroughly enjoyable and we would not hesitate to recommend the villa to others.
