Henry Fielding’s is a captivating and unique 5 bedroom residence in the gorgeous garden-filled enclave of Widcombe, in the foothills of Bath, but only a short walk from the train station and the very centre of this magical little city. This historic house has a deep and meaningful past, as it once belonged to the author, Henry Fielding, and has seen much of the salon era and the golden days of Georgian Bath. At Henry Fielding's you will enjoy glorious gardens, fresh air and stunning views, while being close enough to the centre for an easy stroll into town. The house has been arranged to sleep 10 persons, with 2 double bedrooms, 1 large queen bedroom and 2 twins. There are two full bathrooms and one ensuite cloakroom. Many rooms have bay windows giving lovely views over the landscaped gardens. The landscaped gardens are a special feature, offering separate patios and secluded outside seating and dining areas. Inside, there is both formal Dining and a formal Living Room.

  • RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY:

    Cancellation is not a happy thought, but in a property of this calibre, we will be requiring a £500 deposit with your reservation. This deposit will act as a guarantee of your arrival as well as damage deposit - to be refunded after your departure.

    Your balance will remain the same, to be debited at the beginning of your arrival week. Your deposit will be refunded within the week following your departure (usually within 48 hours).

    Naturally, your deposit will be debited from your Credit/Debit card and your Balance will be taken the same way.

    In the unhappy event that you must cancel after you have paid your deposit, we will make every effort to rebook the property. If the property is rebooked, your deposit will be returned, less the £50 Administration Fee.
  • Rates vary for the time of year and the length of stay and number of persons, but always include all taxes and utilities. There is a two night minimum stay on weekends with a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
    Rates for from 4 to 6 persons - £400 to 500 per night
    Rates for 7 or 8 persons - £600 to £700 per night
    Rates for 9 or 10 persons - £750 to £800 per night

That way you can take advantage of the setting or visit the Thermal Spa, leaving your things in the house to collect later for an evening departure. At Henry Fielding's, you will be staying in a quieter residential part of Bath, with other beautiful and historic homes with lovely gardens and delightful views, and you will be only a 15 minute walk from the railway station. Everything you could possibly require will be in the house, from TV and DVD and WIFI, to lovely linens and towels. Speciality teas and coffees, as well as milk and cookies, are also provided. There is plenty of natural light and romantic views from all the windows. The Thermal Bath Spa as well as the Roman Baths are just a short stroll away.
