This newly refurbished, comfortable self-catering apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms has shared pools (accessible June to September) and a fully equipped, modern kitchen. The original marble floor and spacious rooms with ample storage space compare well with the more recent speculative property developments of the Spanish Costas. Particular attention has been paid to the quality and size (4 x 90cm x 200cm, 2 x 90cm x 190cm bunk bed) of new mattresses (2008). 100% cotton new bed linen, bath towels as well as beach towels are provided. The marble floor combines with the windows and bay-windows, which can be opened at both ends of the apartment, to provide freshness when the sea breeze blowing. Of course the central air-conditioning (heating, in winter) with individual temperature controls in each room, is always an alternative. The apartment is on the second (top) floor. There are no neighbouring terraces left, right or above. Private underground parking available.

El Puerto de Santa Maria has over 20 km of sandy beaches, protected from the Atlantic by the Bay of Cadiz. El Puerto's restaurants offer delicious seafood in a buzzing location. The historic walled city of Cadiz can best be reached by ferry or catamaran. A visit to one of the wineries of El Puerto or Jerez wineries offers a unique introduction to the world of Sherry. Jerez also hosts the world famous Royal Andalucian Schools of Equestrian Arts, which features twice-weekly shows that are an unforgettable experience. Further away, but easily accessed by motorway, are the rich Andalucian cities of Seville, Granada and Cordoba. Other excursions not to be missed include the pristine well-preserved White Villages of the Sierra of Cadiz. Children can have fun at the Sherry Aquacentre water park or the Jerez zoo.

The apartment was very clean and modern with all new appliances and a great balcony. The bedroooms were of good size with plenty of storage. There is a nice set of pools (kiddie and adult) with lifeguard in the apartment courtyard. The beach is only a 5 minute walk down the street and then down a series to steps to one of the best beaches in the area. There are several restaurants within walking distance but to get to the old city center you would need a car or to take a taxi.
Owner was great with communication, providing plenty of information and getting settled conveniently taken care of by a local resident.
All in all and excellent time with great accomodations. Had a super vacation and would definitely go back!

Nuestra estancia en el apartamento de El Ancla ha sido una experiencia estupenda. Toda mi familia nos sentimos como en sasa. El apartamente está perfectamente bien equipado y muy bien decorado. Puedes encontrar todo tipo de detalles. Además, su distribución es excelente . Las habitaciones son muy amplias, los baños son muy cómodos y la cocina es una "monada" . Recién reformada y muy bien diseñada .´La urbanización resulta también muy agradable y lo mejor, se puede ir andando a la playa

The apartment was really nice and it is located near Santa Maria. The nearest buss stop was about 10 m away from the apartment :) and travellin to the city of Santa Maria was very easy. The beach and the harbour nearby are nice. The restaurants of the area are good and near the apartment were small pub and an excellent steak restaurant. Shops were good in Santa Maria and it was very cheap in Cadiz (travelling by ferry takes about 30 min). We enjoyed our stay in Santa Maria and we are planning a new visit, of course. :)

Asunto oli todella siisti ja sijaitsee rauhallisella alueella. Kulkuyhteydet kaupunkiin ovat erinomaiset, bussipysäkille on matkaa ehkä n. 10 m. Omalla autolla kulku erittäin helppoa. Ranta ja satama ovat hyvin kauniita alueita. Ravintolat olivat tasokkaita ja kävelymatkan päässä oli terassi/pieni pubi sekä erinomainen pihviravintola. Ostosmahdollisuudet olivat todella hyvät Santa Mariassa ja lauttamatkan päässä Cadizissa oli todella edullista. Viihdyimme todella hyvin Santa Mariassa ja tarkoitus on tulla uudelleen.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in der Nähe von Cadiz

Wir, eine Schweizer Familie mit 2 Jugendlichen, haben eine ausgezeichnete Woche in dieser Wohnung verbracht. Diese Wohnung bietet alles, was ein Ferienaufenthalt mehr als angenehm macht. Sauber, bis ins Detail praktisch eingerichtet mit schönen Möbeln, private Terasse, Flatsreen-TV, Bettqualität 1a etc. Die Küche war mit allen Geräten in Neuzustand eingerichtet. Unsere Kinder haben Das Schwimmbad im Innenhof der Wohnsiedlung und die Nähe zum Sandstrand von el Ancla sehr genossen. Sehr netter Empfang durch die lokale Wohnungsvermietung!
