This recently renovated house sit in 4 acres in the Quantock Hills, England's first designated area of outstanding natural beauty. There are 6 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a fully fitted modern kitchen, a dining room that seats 12 and the main oak barn, which is flooded with natural light and has views across the hills and the stream that runs through the grounds. The Woods has all the modern amenities required including broadband and Sky+ . The nearest station is Taunton which is 6 miles away and has direct links to Paddington (1 hour 50 mins journey time). Catering can be arranged,as well as clay pigeon shooting,horse riding, golf, mountain biking and fishing.

An area of outstanding natural beauty, the Quantock Hills are an undiscovered part of England. Approx an hour from Bath and 50 minutes from Wells and Glastonbury, 30 minutes from Exmoor, and 1 hour from Dartmouth, it's the perfect central location to explore the West Country. If you just want to walk or cycle, horse ride or play golf you will not have to move out of the Quantocks. But if want to explore you can be at Longleat house in an hour or The Eden Project in Cornwall in an hour and a half.

Hen Do in May

A group of 12 hens who stayed in late May - what an amazing house! Beautifully decorated and of a high quality, friendly welcome upon arrival and the owner had even left a full cannister of gas for the BBQ as the weather was excellent at no charge. Plenty of space and utensils in the kitchen to use, and all the rooms were comfortable and very clean. The garden space around the property was also large, with neighbours being far away enough that you could make a large amount of noise without worrying about complaints the next day.

I would recommend this house for a getaway for either families or hen do type events.

We were warned about the driveway beforehand and it is very steep, but being May there were no icy conditons so we were able to get our cars back out of the driveway.

The value when you compare against some of the other properties on this site is fantastic, especially when you consider the quality and comfort that you get.

I would definitely stay here again in the future, just need a reason to come down again!

Just beautiful

Wow.
A group of friends got together in this beautiful house for a weekend. It is stunning.
It has been finished to such a high standard, and very well taken care of.
The gardens and country side are also beautiful.
So if you quiet, (no mobile reception, but there is internet access) lots of space and beauty, then this is the place. (ps owners are also very nice)
Fabulous.
