Pretty stone cottage with views over the chapel and countryside. The Pardon festival when they bless St André is on the 18th JULY 2010 There is a mass followed by a 4 course meal with wine and coffee for 11 euros and dancing all afternoon and evening. A good way to see the Breton way of life. The cottage sleeps 4+baby and has a double and two single bedrooms plus cot. Bed linen can be hired. There is a new fully fitted kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, lounge and dining area with French TV and video. Shower room and WC. Garden with patio set, parasol and BBQ.Use of washing machine. Safe parking.

A beautiful stone cottage that is very deceiving as it is much bigger than it appears from the photos. It sleeps 2 + travel cot and is full of character. The lounge and kitchen have the old oak beams, tiled floors and a stone fireplace with woodburner. There is a French TV with videos, Hi-Fi/CD player and comfy chairs plus dining table and chairs. The kitchen has an electric hob, microwave/grill and fridge/freezer. Shower room with WC. Large bedroom with twin beds.Bed linen can be hired. Patio furniture with parasol and BBQ. Safe parking.Private garden to the side. Use of washing machine.

Melrand town is only 2 kms away and offers an excellent restaurant, boulangerie, grocers and pharmacy. There is a man-made lake with boat/canoe hire, playground, picnic tables and woodland trail. Pontivy,19kms away is a large town with a chateau, 2 swimming pools, market day and many shops. The countryside round Melrand is of rolling hills, meadows, little streams and rivers and great for wildlife.The lanes are very quiet so it is excellent for walking and cycling. The wonderful long sandy beaches are all along the Morbihan coast and can be reached in 45 minutes. Vannes has a port and old walled town with a chateau and many shops. Seafood restaurants are plentiful and moules/frites a favourite along with savoury and sweet pancakes washed down with local cider!
