The property is totally renovated in period tradition, using modern techniques and materials for weather proofing and insulation. The house sleeps 7 in comfort - 1 large double room - 1 double/twin room - 1 room with two full sized, angled bunk beds. Additionally, an upstairs balcony has a single bed, with the top and bottom of the stairs gated, and 4 single folding mattresses / 2 cots are usable in various room combinations. Upstairs is a shower, W.C. and wash basin, and downstairs the same with a bath and washing machine. Linen is provided. There is a large, well-furnished living room / dining area, which is traditionally tiled and features a large fireplace and wood burner. The kitchen is comprehensively equipped, leading onto a verandah, overlooking the fenced swimming pool (9m x 5m) and cabana. Gas central heating is at additional cost.

Le Prunier is situated in a secluded hamlet at the end of a quiet lane, surrounded by countryside. Eymet has many restaurants, bars, shops and summer Night Markets, as well as an Oyster Fete and similar events in the square. A comprehensive range of attractions, to suit all ages and interests, are available, throughout the area. Local events are well-advertised. There is an active Tourist Office and our own house files, guide books and maps to help you explore this beautiful area.

A home from home over the channel...

I can't praise this house enough. Shirley and George were immensely friendly and helpful when we were planning our stay and everything went extremely smoothly. The house has a terrace looking out on the pool and the undulating fields, which is great for barbeques and just relaxing in the evening. There is an enormous and cosy lounge with open fire and dining table and ample bedroom accomodation for the extended family.
I came on holiday to the house as a child with my family, so I can vouch for the fact that kids will love it, there is not just a pool, but also table tennis and a big field to play football and cricket.
The house is set in a small hamlet, a short drive from Eymet, a beautiful bastide town, where you can find all the amenities you will need.
So, all in all, I would highly recommend this property for its homliness and value for money, and that's not even taking into account the excellent local wine!

Having stayed in this property many times over the last 10 years I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the French countryside. The property is within easy reach of many towns including Perigeux / Marmande & Bergerac (only 30 mins from the airport) and the local village of Eymet is only 5 minutes away so easy for the boulangerie for breakfast. Can't recommend this property highly enough and with a pool and plenty of open space it's ideal for families or couples looking for a relaxing break.

Excellent French Holiday

I holidayed here with my family (wife and child) last year and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The details from the website accurately matched the property and we didn't have a problem for the 2 weeks we were in the property.

The setting was amazing and we enjoyed plenty of evening meals out on the verandah looking out across the rolling French countryside.

The town is close at hand so you can easily get the shopping sorted for the holiday and drop in for an evening meal if needed. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a holiday home in the South of France.

What a relaxing holiday

Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday, it is a great house with lovely views and so peaceful. The children spent most of the time in the pool when they weren't running up and down the bank or around the lovely large garden. It is a fantastic area with lots to do if you want it, or lots of good food and drink to enjoy if you don't! We will be back to chill out again! Thank you
