This hideaway cottage is on a private estate surrounded by beautiful plants, woods and bird life. An aviary is situated below the cottage, and geese wander free around the grounds - a birdwatcher's paradise! There is a spacious kitchen with woodburning fire, a sitting room, and 2 bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom (both have showers, not baths). The front terrace, with its view down to the woods, is ideal for contemplation, reading or drawing, while the side terrace, with its bread oven, is perfect for barbecues and evening meals. The cottage is a quiet and lovely 20 minute walk from Selva village which has its own bakery, shops, bars, restaurants, church and local outdoor swimming pool. The walks around the area show Mallorca at its natural best. 15 mins drive from Pollensa beach, 10 mins drive from Inca and 30 mins drive from Palma airport, with trains in nearby Inca reaching most of the island, the cottage is still ideal for artists or writers wanting to get away from it all.

The cottage is in one of the most unspoiled areas on the island. However the attractive nearby town of Inca not only has a comprehensive transport system reaching most of the island (by train and bus) but also has wonderful shops, original Mallorcean restaurants (for that sought after Mallorcean cuisine) and fresh produce & craft markets. The island's north range of mountains is behind the nearby village of Selva and with olive groves, orchards, farms and woodland surrounding the estate you couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to walk around. For beaches nearby Puerto Pollenca is one of the island's most popular but characterful ports which plays host to both local and international yachting and artistic communities. Wherever you want to go in Mallorca, Selva is a great base from which to explore the stunning island. The owners have lived in Mallorca for 35 years and will give you any information you need to help make your stay as easy, interesting and fun as it can be.

  • Although both bedrooms have twin beds they can easily be pushed together. One bedroom has a wonderful en suite bathroom, the other has a bathroom too. There is hanging space for clothes, chest of drawers and everything needed for a simple but comfortable holiday. All furniture is characterful and in keeping with rustic traditions.
