La Bastide Negrin is part of a large old stone farm house. Recently renovated without loosing charm, to provide fabulous modern living, both indoors and outside, There are 5 double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. 3 in the main house. 1 in an adjoining apartment, which can be self contained or, by opening an internal door, form part of the whole. 1 in an outside 'Petite Maison, adjoining the pool and terrace. This house lends itself to summer outdoor living with a complete outdoor kitchen, BBQ area and outdoor sitting area with fireplace. All adjacent to the large pool, 6 x 3m and surrounding tiled terraced area. There is a garden with a flat lawn, a place to play ball games, volley ball, short tennis. Giant outdoor chess and several separate areas to sit under a shady tree, lie in a hammock or lie by the pool and relax. Inside there is a very well fitted modern kitchen, sitting room, dining room for 8.

Seillans is the village local to La Bastide. It is listed as a 'Ville Fleurie' in recognition of its particularly beauty and charm. Drive there, 5 minutes, or stroll up and enjoy a leisurely coffee in the square and watch the french world go by. Fayence, Grasse, Cannes, St Raphael or the beach at Frejus are all within easy reach, These and many other towns and villages in the area, offer a plethora of activity and interest, local markets and narrow lane medieval charm. There are many restaurants in the area, catering to all tastes, from simple Bistos to Michelin starred fine dining. Take a pedalo or canoe on the beautiful Lac de St Cassien, a 15 minute drive, or drive a little further to Castelan and go white water canoeing down the spectacular Gorge de Verdon. Visit the local vineyards and wineries. Taste and buy some of Provence best rose`. There is so much to do in the Var, his beautiful part of eastern Provence, or simply relax by the pool.

  • Summer and autumn a security deposit of Euros 750 (or £500) will be held against damages, paid by cheque on arrival. This will be returned or refunded as soon as the property has been handed back in good order and any breakages and damages have been paid for.
  • Winter rentals, minimum of 1 month, utilities will be charged. A Euro 1000 security deposit will be held against damages and bills.
  • Arrival times - this is a large house. We need time to prepare the house for your arrival. Please do not arrive before 4.00 pm on the Saturday of arrival. Departure, by 10.00 am on the morning of your departure.
    On arrival, you will be met and shown around the house, a local English speaking agent will available to deal with any problems you might have while you are here.
    There is comprehensive information provided on both the working of the house and local places of interest and local attractions.

  • La Bastide has recently been renovated to a very high standard, providing very comfortable, interesting accommodation. Each bedroom has it's own unique character and each has its own bath or shower room. This is an old stone building. Inside it remains cool, even on the hottest summer day. Fans are provided in all bedrooms. Beds will be made up with fine cotton linen, light duvets or cotton blankets, feather or hyper allergenic pillows.

Further details for this holiday villa rental in Seillans, France

The building dates back to the mid 1750’s and until recently was the family home of a local farmer and his extended family. At one time, only 35 years ago, the family inhabiting the house numbered over 30, with no running water or modern ablution facilities. The surviving farmer, who was born in the house, now in his late 80’s, lives in the house off up to the right and still tends his lands occasionally. The house has been updated by several of its recent owners. The charming man responsible for the initial updating of facilities now lives in the house behind, which he has recently renovated. We under took a major renovation project 5 years ago, and while retaining the original stone features, have fully renovated all the electrics, plumbing drainage, heating, roof etc. We hope that you will enjoy both the old and new aspects of the house and apartment.
