Agrigento holiday villa "Villa Mare Di Montelusa" in Agrigento, Valle dei Templi Contrada Kaos

The views from the terrace are amazing, the pictures don't lie. We spent a week at the house in September and we loved it. We only had some minor complaints about the insides of the house afterwards but since you'll be spending all your time outdoors that's not really a problem.
If you want to go out to eat in Agrigento i can really recommend Osteria ex panificio and you should really visit the Valley of the Temples with a good guide. We liked "agrigentotours".

There were 9 people in our group: 6 adults and 3 children under the age of 5.
The villa was exactly as described in the brochure and the views were as spectacular as in the photos.
The property was clean and well maintained. All of the kitchen equipment, air conditioning and other equipment worked well. When we had a minor problem, the friendly owner responded very quickly to fix it. The property was completely enclosed and secure, with electronic gates, alarm system and CCTV.
The best feature of the villa was the terrace, which is very large, not overlooked, quiet, surrounded by trees and plants, and has an uninterrupted, panoramic view over the sea. The terrace is equipped with sunbeds, several lounge chairs and tables, a gas BBQ, a ping-pong table, plenty of shady areas and a large central dining table. The sun is on the terrace all day. The sunset can be seen from the terrace. After dark, the terrace is well-lit.
The front of the terrace is bordered by a low wall. Behind the wall, there is a small drop of about 50cm down to the next level. Therefore, we were comfortable letting our 4 year-old play unsupervised on the terrace but felt the need to keep an eye on the younger ones. However, this was not a problem as one of us was invariably on the terrace.
There is also a large, secure garden at the rear of the villa, where we picked figs from the tree for our breakfast.
The nearest beach was a 2 minute drive. It was a nice, sandy beach with a snack bar. There are several other beaches about 10 minutes drive away in San Leone, many with bar/restaurant facilities and sunbed/umbrella rental. Our favourite beach was Siculiana Marina, about a 25 minute drive away, where we ate fresh seafood for lunch at the Lido Sabbia D'Oro.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in nearby San Leone, which is worth a visit in the evening when lots of people are out walking along the seafront. There were lots of funfair rides both for adults and children on the seafront.
For catering, there were several supermarkets, bakeries, fishmongers etc within about a 10 minute drive.
All of us in the group were agreed that we would highly recommend this villa.

In the last week of October we spent a very nice holiday on the lovely island of Sicily. After a smooth flight from the Netherlands and an even smoother car drive to the south side of the island, we were welcomed by the family with local sweets and fruit.After a tour through the villa, we also got a tour through the village to show us where we could do shopping and to point the good restaurants and beaches.
The villa itself was fully equipped and specially the terrace was magnificent, with sufficient chairs to sit and enjoy the sun and the splendid view over the Mediterranean See. We particularly liked the long table where we could sit together (room for 10+ people) and eat. Barbecue facilities were available at the villa and we certainly used them. At the end of the week we returned home after a perfect holiday and I would certainly recommend the villa to anyone for spending some time on lovely Sicily.
