Photos and Description of this Trancoso holiday house 2 bedroom beach house that sleeps 6 in Caraiva

This rustic beach house is made of two bedrooms which are comfortable and fully equipped. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom with the main bedroom also connecting to the kitchen. In total both bedrooms can sleep a maximum of 6 people. There are two double beds, a bunk bed and a single bed. Each comes with its own linen, pillows and mosquito nets. The kitchen is fully equipped to entertain dinners and barbecues at the property and both bedrooms lead out onto the veranda where dining tables and chairs can be found. The beautiful sand garden includes lots of tropical plants and leads out onto the one street separating the house from the beach. A short walk and one is at the ocean’s edge. There is an outdoor shower and new barbecue casita as well as electricity and hot water.

Caraiva is in the northern state of Bahia in Brazil. It is about a 1.5 hour taxi ride from Porto Seguro which caters both domestic and international flights. It is 30 kms south of Trancoso a bohemian village up the coast. Caraiva is bordered by an indigenous national park and the final part of the journey is made up of a stunning boat ride across the river that splits Caraiva from the mainland. It is a stunning example of the laid back and untouched lifestyles of Brazil’s people with untouched white sand beaches. Between Trancoso and Caraiva there are many beautiful beaches including Praia Espelho which you can walk to from Caraiva. There are many eating spots in and around Caraiva which offer simple, tasty food as well as entertainment most of the night. Once can also visit the local stores to stock up on provisions for the house.

Travel to Caraiva: If flying from overseas, fly to Sao Paulo and then organize a domestic flight (TAM or GOL) from Sao Paulo to Porto Seguro. From Porto Seguro take a taxi to Caraiva which will cost 200 Reales and take 1.5 hrs. When you get to boat crossing to Caraiva village, simply ask boat man to take you to Totonhos house (our caretaker) and we live next door. Address Rua Setiembre, Hugo & Ollies, Caraiva.
