The small fishing town of Whitby is part of the Heritage Coast of North East England. The towns skyline is dominated by the ruins of St Hildas Abbey. Spreading below, a maze of alleyways and narrow streets run down to the busy quayside with many award winning fish restaurants and lively bars and pubs. Great sandy beaches and dramatic coastlines and close to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Staithes are all quaint fishing villages a short drive away. Whitby Golf Course enjoys panoramic views over the Sea.
