It's great for a get-away-from-it-all family holiday, as a centre for touring, or simply a chance to stay in an exclusive spot and do a bit of everything - beach, tourism, countryside, relaxing by the pool. The pool and terraced gardens overlook a broad valley, and the clean air and silence are the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The house is nicely furnished and equipped. Has full central heating and fireplace (for winter bookings!), and is cleaned & beds changed halfway through stays of 7 nights or more (or on request at extra charge). All bed linen and towels are provided. Children (and pets) are very welcome. Outside: 8 x 4 m pool, barbecue area large garden with 1.000m2. The property is at the end of a rough lane and quite secluded, offering a high level of privacy with a magnificent panorama over the valleys and mountains, yet the town of Caminha is conveniently close (2.5km). Near to beach (Moledo, Afife) and Minho river witch you cross by FerryBoat to get to Spain.

Across the river from the historic port town of Viana do Castelo, the house is close to the beaches of the Costa Verde, as Moledo and Camarido and within easy reach of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the attractive old towns and villages and rural byways of the Upper Minho region, famous for its folklore, cuisine and Vinho Verde, and with access to the hill range of Serra de Arga. Porto and Braga are both within 60 kilometres of so, and the Spanish border - for trips to Vigo or Santiago de Compostela - is just 25km away. A new motorway network has brought everything closer, but the narrow winding mountain lanes of the region make for great exploring.
