Chalet Merri is a newly-built, traditionally-styled luxury chalet, that oozes cosy Swiss charm. Located about 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Nendaz, the chalet provides spacious, charming surroundings for groups of up to 8 people (plus a small child or two). It is built of timber, with reinforced concrete and underfloor heating on the lower two floors. The double garage houses a table tennis table, whilst on the terrace is a large hot tub with unbeatable views extending for miles over the Rhône valley. The chalet has laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen (it's used by a professional chef during the winter) and all you would expect from a luxury holiday chalet - including free WiFi, DVD player, stereo with iPod link and cable TV. Bedroom 1: twin/king-size beds and large ensuite bath/shower. Bedroom 2: twin/king-size beds and shared family bathroom. Bedroom 3: twin/king-size beds and shared family bathroom. Haute-Nendaz (generally referred to as Nendaz) is surprisingly large, with 3 excellent supermarkets, a spread of shops and coffee houses, and 8-10 restaurants/bars. The village also hosts a large open-air market on Wednesday afternoons during the mid summer period, where local produce can be bought. SUMMER: Just 200m from the chalet is the village's atrractive open air swimming pool, where one can while away the day whilst glancing across at the magnificent peaks over the Rhone valley. The village also has a beach volley ball court and 5-s-side football 'court' that are both free to use, along with tennis courts, a climbing tower and an abundance of exhilarating cycle tracks. The village is also renowned for its excellent hiking terrain, which extends from 1400m to a dizzying 3330m. WINTER : Chalet Merri is operated by Ted Bentley Chaley Holidays in the winter, who provide a truly luxurious ski holiday experience.

Ski: Chalet Merri is centrally located in the Four Valleys, Switzerland's largest ski area with over 400km of pistes. The region is particularly good for advanced skiers, but is also surprisingly well suited to beginners, as there are several ski schools and the lessons take place in a particularly good area of there mountain for instruction to be given. The resort links with Verbier, Veysonnaz and Thyon, and provides one of the best and most varied ski terrains in the world.
