La Metairie offers 2 lovely open plan gites set in grounds over over 3.5 acres comprising gardens and woodland. The setting is very rural and peaceful making it the ideal place to relax and unwind. The Gallery comprises a separate kitchen, good sized shower room and a main living/sleeping area. It is furnished with a French-style double bed, lacquered oriental furniture, armchairs, small dining table/chairs, stereo and coffee table. This gite is very private and accessed by a wooden staircase. The Coach House is large and airy, decorated in a French style with kingsize 4-poster bed and painted furniture. There is a small shower room and kitchen area which looks out over the garden. This gite is on the ground floor and is very cool in summer. Both gites overlook the orchard which is ideal for open-air dining or barbeque. All linen and towels are supplied and we have on-site laundry facilities. We also offer a range of holistic therapies from our on-site treatment room.

Ground floor open plan with kitchen area and small shower room. The Coach House has a very romantic feel and is popular with honeymooners and people wanting a romantic location. The style is very French and furniture comprises and is furnished with King size 4-poster bed, pretty painted furniture, comfy sofa, antique chair, chandelier and nice rugs. The kitchen area overlooks the garden and is a good size with electric oven/gas hob, microwave, fridge and toaster, dining table and 2 chairs. Electric heating, cd player and hairdryer provided. All linen, towels and services provided - linen and towels changed weekly A table and chairs is provided outside for external dining or relaxation

La Metairie is situated in the Blavet Valley which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The historic towns of Pontivy and Vannes are within easy driving distance as is the world famous town of Carnac with its hundreds of megaliths. More locally can be found Poul Fetan which is a reconstruction of an 18th Century Breton Village and practically on our doorstep is the Village de l'an mille which recreates Breton life of 1000 years ago. For fishing and cycling enthusiasts there are many places to fish and cycle in beautiful countryside. The beautiful Lac de Guerledan offers swimming, sailing, fishing and watersports and also has beaches along the lakeside. The small town of Melrand has local shops and an excellent restaurant which was formerly a 13th century coaching inn. There is a huge market held weekly in the historic town of Auray and it is a must to visit the historic port of St Goustan with its timbered houses, galleries and seafood restaurants.
