WE are situated slightly East of the centre of Scotland - 30 minutes north of DUNDEE and PERTH, one hour south west of ABERDEEN, two and a half hours south of INVERNESS, 90 minutes north of EDINBURGH and GLASGOW - so ideally based for touring and sightseeing.
All around the cottage are rolling farmlands and the berry fields of historic Strathmore.
There are six lochs between the cottage and the village of Dunkeld, 11 miles away. The Loch of the Lowes , only 4 miles away, has had ospreys nesting and raising chicks since 1969 and a further two eggs are being hatched this year. There is a visitor centre there with a hide where you can watch the osprey parents tending their nest.
Nearby Scone Palace is the ancient seat of the kings of Scotland and Glamis Castle has been a Royal Residence for over 600 years.
Meikleour Beech Hedge is well worth seeing at only four miles from Willowburn. It is officially recognised in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest hedge in the World.
