This fully modernised old cottage is situated two miles from the town of Blairgowrie. It is a perfect base for sight seeing anywhere in the country with beautiful walks, cycling, fishing, golfing, skiing and much more. For a less energetic break you will find time spent indoors a relaxing experience. A welcoming porch opens on to a bright modern kitchen / dining area with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer. The lounge has views over the fields to the hills beyond. It has satellite LCD TV with iPod docking station, DVD, board games, WiFi internet access and telephone. There are two double bedrooms with luxurious white linen and comfortable beds. The modern bathroom has over bath shower, wash basin and wc. Sitting out in the extensive garden on the terrace sharing a good wine and listening to the birds is the perfect ending to the day on this holiday break.

WE are situated slightly East of the centre of Scotland - 30 minutes north of DUNDEE and PERTH, one hour south west of ABERDEEN, two and a half hours south of INVERNESS, 90 minutes north of EDINBURGH and GLASGOW - so ideally based for touring and sightseeing. All around the cottage are rolling farmlands and the berry fields of historic Strathmore. There are six lochs between the cottage and the village of Dunkeld, 11 miles away. The Loch of the Lowes , only 4 miles away, has had ospreys nesting and raising chicks since 1969 and a further two eggs are being hatched this year. There is a visitor centre there with a hide where you can watch the osprey parents tending their nest. Nearby Scone Palace is the ancient seat of the kings of Scotland and Glamis Castle has been a Royal Residence for over 600 years. Meikleour Beech Hedge is well worth seeing at only four miles from Willowburn. It is officially recognised in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest hedge in the World.

Everything was well prepared. The cottage was well equipped, clean and roomy.
It is situated in a quiet place, with a nice well-kept garden.
A beautiful sunset could be seen from the windows of the sitting room.
We really love Scotland and its nature. Willowburn Cottage also met our requirements for the location as we made trips all over Scotland.
We were satisfied and we really enjoyed our stay there.
The communication with the landlady was perfect, too.
We can recommend the Willowburn Cottage for all lovers of Scotland.
