The Cottage is situated in a complex which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and Blasket Islands. The surrounding scenery is some of the most attractive and dramatic in the Island of Ireland. The Dinge Peninsula faces into the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean in the South west corner of Ireland. The complex, which consists of a number of cottages and apartments, is 4km from Ballyferriter village and 10km from Dingle town. Located just off the Slea Head Drive, it is surrounded by many historical monuments, such as the Gallarus Oratory, the Riasc Monastic Settlement and Beehive Huts. It lies in the heart of the Gaeltacht, a place where the Irish language is the spoken tongue, where traditions have been preserved for thousands of years. It is a place of quietness and friendly people. Dingle town is famous for its many festivals such as the Dingle Races, Food and Wine Festival, Walking and Music Festivals etc, and has an abundance of friendly bars and restaurants.
