The cabin is located by the shores of Loch Awe which is 25 Miles (41 km) long set in the wonderful Dalavich Oakwood. There are walks between Inverinan and Ford. For an easy stroll follow the trail to discover the history and future of this ancient woodland. Stretch your legs a bit more on the Timber Walk and see some of the biggest trees around Loch Awe.
For the energetic there is the Loch Avich Walk where you can see the impressive Dalavich Falls. Close by is Ben Cruachan which is a 1126 m mountain that is the highest point in Argyll. It gives its name to a pumped-storage hydroelectric power station located in a cavern inside the mountain. Oban town centre has a large selection of well known shops, restaurants, pubs, cinema, leisure centre, night life and famous distillery. From Oban you can catch a ferry to the many islands on the west coast including Mull, Lorn and Coll. Visit Tobermory the setting for the well known children's TV show Balamory.
