Casa Calabaza is a modern and very well equipped villa benefiting from a quiet position yet within easy reach of this popular and highly regarded village on the Costa Tropical. It has a private swimming pool, two lovely secluded sun terraces and an attractive garden with a lawn and an interesting selection of plants. The property is spacious, enjoys impressive sea views, and is equipped and appointed to a particularly high standard including marble floors throughout, and air conditioning / heating to all the bedrooms. The swimming pool ( 7.5x4x1.3m) has a small 'sitting/ paddling area' off to one side - ideal for cooling off or, as the pool is unfenced, for supervised younger visitors. There are radio/cd players at both levels, whilst the top lounge has a 32' flat screen TV with satellite connection, and a good selection of DVD's, videos, CD's and books. A comfortable home and a good base for visiting the many places of interest in Andalucia.

The villa enjoys a most lovely view and is quietly situated just a few minutes drive up from the sea and the sweeping unspoilt bay of La Herradura. The village has a delightful local atmosphere with a well regarded local market providing good fruit & veg as well as a selection of supermarkets, shops and banks and an impressive number of popular bars and restaurants. The world famous Alhambra Palace and gardens in Granada, winter skiing in the Sierra's are both within easy reach as are the charming mountain villages and walks to be had in the picturesque Alpujarras. The nearby Caves of Nerja, the delightful mountain village of Frigiliana and the old Moorish heart of nearby Almunecar are also well worth a visit.This is an interesting and scenic part of the coast with lots of beaches to explore, and for those wishing to be more active there is also golf & horse riding to be had whilst in the village itself there is a scuba diving school as well as windsurfing and boat hire.

Notes: The entire villa is very well decorated and appointed and has marble floors throughout. The main lounge and dining areas are at ground floor level adjacent to a well equipped kitchen and breakfast room. However, in addition there is a seperate kitchenette to one side of the second lounge at the poolside level. There are 8 sun loungers around the pool and on the top terrace, two adjoining areas for eating or relaxing in/out of the sun ( one area is mostly in the shade of a tree and a roller sun blind provides shade for the main area.) The poolside terrace is both spacious and private; steps down to the lawn
