One of the famous pueblos blancos of Andalucia, Medina Sidonia sits high above the Costa de la Luz with views to Cadiz, Chiclana, Conil, Vejer and Tarifa. Its close proximity to the cities of Cadiz, Jerez and Seville make it an ideal holiday destination for those wishing to spend long days on the beautiful beaches of the Costa de la Luz or sightseeing around the cities steeped in history. There is plenty to do in Medina including the Parish Church with its Old City Wall, the ancient Gateways giving access to the village and the cobbled streets with their whitewashed houses to the town square with its townhall and outdoor cafes. There are some excellent local restaurants making the most of the game and fresh fish bountiful in this area plus numerous small bars and coffee shops offering the local delicacy - almond cakes. A short journey takes you to one of the beautiful white sand beaches of the Costa de la Luz with their beach bars, fish restaurants and miles of palm trees.
