Perfect home away from home...

I happily recommend Templelands to anyone thinking about a getaway in Southeast Scotland. A convenient 20 minute train ride to Edinburg also makes it a perfect starting point to explore the city as well.
The flat is fresh and new, with beautifully fitted kitchen and bath, and two lovely bedrooms. The garden looking out towards the sea is peaceful and beautiful - a great place for that bottomless morning coffee.
The kitchen has a nice small gathering area which functions as a lounge as well. This was plenty for us, as we did not need a space for hours of TV-watching. It did however make a great place to gather for breakfast or late-night snacking.
We were four singles staying together, and the extra fold-out bed made this a pretty easy arrangement. The double bed is fine for a couple, but not big enough for two singles.
The flat has all the necessary practical items, and anything we needed was generously supplied by Ruth and Philip at our request, including beach towels, bicycles, and that much needed needle and thread....They were very nice and informative, and clearly made every effort to make our stay a good one.
A welcoming basket of local produce, fresh flowers and a couple of chilled beers set the stage for a very quick transition into holiday mode...
In the immediate area, I would highly recommend the Curry House down the street, the Coffee and Chocolate Cafe, and the markets selling fish and organic produce.
I really can't imagine a lovelier place to stay in such a convenient location.
Enjoy!
Owner's Response: The Walkyries are welcome back anytime, especially if they sing just for me!
