St Ives has something for everybody. Four sandy beaches are within easy walking distance - Porthminster, Harbour, Porthgwidden and Porthmeor. Each of these has its own character - depending whether you want to surf, sunbathe or just chill out. You can also learn to surf at St Ives Surf School, or take a boat trip along the coast to see the seals. There are also wonderful walks along the South West Coast Path, along the cliffs to the west and Zennor, or east towards the Hayle Estuary and Porthkidney Sands. The town has some of the best scenery and views that you will find anywhere, with some of the best from Lyonesse Seven Apartment.
