Due to the health giving properties of the salt lakes combined with the climate, the World Health Organisation rates this area of the Costa Blanca one of the healthiest places in the world to live!
The local fishing port of Torrevieja boasts an impressive marina with a terrific range of watersports, sailing, windsurfing, motor cruising, para gliding and jet-skiing.
Fishing, horse riding, tennis, cycling and walks are just a few of the other many activities available.
There are also art galleries, cathedrals, museums and monasteries to visit in such places as Murcia, Cartagena, Orihuela and Alicante.
Shopping:
There is at least one Market for every day of the week in surrounding towns and villages. Local towns within a few minutes drive are Rojales, Algorfo, Guardemar and Los Montesinos these are very Spanish with typical markets, bars and restaurants.
Golf:
For the golfing enthusiasts, Quesada boasts its very own excellent 18 hole golf course and clubhouse ‘La Marquesa’ There are many other courses in the vicinity, some are championship standard, like Villamartin or La-Finca.
