The charming sunlit rustic house is set in the green just few 100m from the historical village of Celle dei Puccini. The house has a large terrace where guests can enjoy outdoor eating or relax in the sun. This rustic house for rent sleeps 4-5 and is composed of a Tuscan feature kitchen with fireplace, a living room and a WC on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the 1st floor. Surrounded by wood and breathtaking countryside this vacation house has recently been renovated in rustic style making it a perfect retreat for relaxation or as a base for exploring the natural beauties, the small towns and the culture of the Serchio Valley and the Garfagnana. The house is situated just 30km from the luxurious beaches in Versilia. For culture and shopping, Lucca and Florence are within easy reach and Pisa airport is just 45 min away.

Casa Casciani is located few 100 meters from the historic village of Celle dei Puccini in the Pescaglia valley. The vacation house for rent sits on a hillside facing south admidst the chestnut trees. There are 3 restaurants in close proximity to the house, the small grocery shops in the towns up and down the valley and the next supermarket is 10 away. Situated just 25 min from the walled city of Lucca, the lost gem of Tuscany, and only just 30km from the luxurious beaches in Versilia. Florence and Siena are within easy reach and Pisa airport is just 45 min away. The Tuscan skiing resort is Abetone, about an hour's drive with very nice slopes for intermediate skiers. For lovers of enduro riding the Garfagnana valley is heaven. There are organized trips in the area and it is a perfect opportunity to mix with a holiday before or after an incredible riding experience

  • The toilets are new and simply fitted. On the ground floor there is a WC with sink and on the second floor there is a bathroom with shower. There is an outdoor shower on the patio, with cold water to cool off in the summer heat.

Lovely Little Hideaway

We really enjoyed our week in August 2009. The weather was great so we didn't move far from the fab pool in Bagni Di Lucca. The restaurant in the nearby village, can't remember the name but it's the only one with a little shop was lovely. The house was well equipped and charming in it's Tuscan style. We would have liked a fact file in the house that listed nearby restaurants, places to visit, good drives etc, that would have been very handy. The owner, Vala was so helpful and even lent us her iron!
All round we would recommend this house, if you like unspoilt countryside and peace and quiet, it will be perfect. Nearby Lucca is worth a visit especially to cycle around the walls, but beware the beaches on the coast, where you do get shooed away unless you have paid, so stick to the pool in Bagni, chairs are free the sunloungers are a little extra.

Fantastic Holiday Cottage

We had an amazing honeymoon in this great cottage. On arriving we were greeted by the owners who were absolutely delightful and extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The owners left us to ourselves to enjoy their lovely cottage but were always on hand when phoned with any questions we had which was exactly what we wanted from a holiday cottage.
The house itself was even nicer than it appears on the website and is furnished very simply but had everything we needed and was spotless and very easy to keep clean.
We would certainly recommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet getaway as although the house is very private the location is perfect to explore the beautiful local villages and Lucca. Florence and Sienna are also easily accessible even for novice drivers in Italy like ourselves!.
Fantastic house and excellent location -we certainly hope to return to the cottage.

Isolated cottage

Lovely little cottage in a very quit location. Decent facilities nearby, supermarket 10-15 minutes, two excellent restaurants very close. Great outside space around the house; some of it covered/shady, some of it very sunny.
To enjoy this house you must love the isolation; villages in the area are small and not very interesting, Lucca is over 30 minutes away. Mediterranean 45 minutes.
The area itself is interesting; much steeper hills than in the rolling hills of the rest of Tuscany.
No washing machine.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for such a perfect time during our stay in Celle last sommer. The house is so wonderful and the surroundings so nice and beautiful. I´m still thinking about the times on the terrace, so peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. The boys loved it too, they still talk about it. Thanks again and hopefully we can do this again..
