Five minutes drive out of Bosa you will find the hill top village of Magomadas. The houses are built on the edge of a hill and there are some marvellous views of expansive countryside down to the sea. The village is quiet and typical of the area. Inhabited almost totally by locals, here you will find yourself immersed in village life. The area around the village is agricultural with many vineyards and olive groves.
Two of the best reasons for paying a visit to this village is Trattoria Da Riccordo, one of the places to eat in the area, and almost opposite the restaurant is a Cantina, where you can try the local Malvasia wine, amongst others, of course trying a few before you buy. There is also a museum hidden away in the narrow backstreet's dedicated to the history of local wine production, it's traditions and methods.
