Almerimar is situated in the province of Almería, lt’s only two hours from the snows of Sierra-Nevada. Almerimar has a Port-Marina and a fishing harbour.Almerimar is 45 mins drive from Almeria airport, along the Mediterranean coast motorway. The province of Almería is the only province in Spain where amazing beaches are shadowed by the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, Europe’s most southerly ski resort, which can be reached in only 2 hours.Locally (only 7mins by car) there is a ‘Centro Commercial’ with a hypermarket, multi-screen cinema, children’s play area and more restaurants. This is in fact located opposite the main hospital with all modern facilities.
Ski:
The apartment is just 2 hours away from the great “Sky Station” ski village resort near Granada in the Sierra Nevada range reached through breath-taking scenery on top class mountain motorways. The Ski resort has ski-runs going up to 3,300 metres altitude and a very attractive ski village with ample high quality accommodation at reasonable prices if you fancy staying over for a couple of nights. In the Winter and Spring, one-day skiing excursions are quite practical and excellent fun – leave the apartment at 9 a.m. arrive at 11 a.m. - hire your skis - have an early lunch and be on the slopes with your half-day pass soon after noon. Ski until 5 p.m. if you’re keen, have a nice relaxing apres-ski tea or something stronger and be back in Almerimar by 8 p.m. A nice warm shower – dress and be out before 9 p.m. for dinner in one of the best restaurants overlooking the marina for less per head than a Friday night pub meal in the UK.

Golf Almerimar has a generous practice area with chipping green of 3 exercise holes, exercise shelters and a putting green with 9 exercise holes.Lovers of this sport will enjoy the fairways of the golf course. Golf Almerimar offers countless possibilities for golf players of all levels It demands a high level of concentration from experienced golfers but can also be mastered by beginners quite well. Water surfaces and skilfully placed bunkers will offer all golfers an enjoyable challenge.Bunkers and small ponds are well placed to guard the greens. Fairways are like carpets.It has wide tree lined fairways and large greens which are well maintained and fast to play on. Water features abound at several holes. The 100 metre shot over the lake to reach hole 1 with Par 3 makes the course a challenging start. The lush vegetation ensures that the course has a pleasant Oasis feel to each round.
