The cottage is set in the rural grounds of a manor house situated 5 miles north of Eastbourne. An ideal setting from which to enjoy local country walks, a cycle network, or days out exploring the many local historical attractions Sussex can offer. Only 5 miles away are the beautiful beaches of Eastbourne and the scenic coastline stretching across the South Downs. Enjoy a visit to the mysteries of nearby castles at Pevensey, Lewes, Hastings and Battle Abbey (1066 Battlefield). There is an excellent train service to London from the nearby railway station (approx 1hr 10mins). The grounds around the cottage offer 17 acres of woodland, an outdoor swimming pool (available during the summer months), a fishing lake and a basic tennis court.
