Maison Perigord is a beautiful traditional French house nestling on the side of a pretty village 7km from the medieval town of Sarlat-le-Canada. The house is set on a gentle hillside and sits on three stories. It has four bedrooms which sleep 8 people (there is also a cot for a baby) and is furnished to a high standard in a comfortable country style. There are two double rooms, two twin rooms and three bathrooms. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious sitting room, games room with table tennis table and a lovely private pool with a large sun terrace. Situated in the beautiful and unspoilt region of the Dordogne in south west France, Maison Perigord, with its private pool and southern climate is ideal for families and groups of friends in search of a truly memorable holiday. Maison Perigord is situated in a quiet rural village with the delights of local town Sarlat-le-Caneda just a few minutes drive away. Sarlat is a beautiful medieval town with numerous restaurants and a famous Saturday food market. The area offers canoeing and boat trips on the Dordogne River as well as sight seeing for traces of Neolithic Man in the area's many caves. The local towns and pretty villages are full of historical interest including beautiful and ancient castles. The area is a gourmet's paradise and wine connoisseurs will find they are not far from the delights of Bordeaux and the famous villages of Nuit Saint Georges and St Emillion. Nearby, Rocamadour is a series of churches and a site of pilgrimage all incredibly built into the side of a cliff. There are many other attractions in the area and all this if you can bear to leave the pool and terrace!

  • There are no hidden costs: all gas, electricity, bedding, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, hand soap and an initial supply of toilet rolls are included in the price.

    An English couple also act as caretaker and are available should you need any assistance during your stay. They clean the property between guests and service the pool.

    The telephone is included for local calls.

    Please note, changeovers are on Saturday morning 10am for departures but arrivals can arrive any time after 4pm on Saturday.

  • There are three bedrooms on the top floor. The Master bedroom is ensuite with a romantic sleigh bed and exceptional views across the valley. Opposite this, across the landing, there are two cool blue twin rooms. One of these faces east and enjoys the morning sun as well as the views across the valley while the other faces west with evening sun and looks out across the courtyard. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. The downstairs double bedroom is furnished with a lit-bateau bed and has French windows leading out onto the garden / pool terrace. It has its own shower room with mural paintings of the sea. There is a travel cot available with the property.
