Paphos Area Information:
Paphos is located at the South West end of the island and is one of the largest and most established tourist resorts in Cyprus. Steeped in History and surrounded by preserved archeological sites Paphos with its pretty harbour area and year round sunshine attracts visitors from accross Europe.

The centre of Paphos town is divided between the newly regenerated Kato Paphos tourist harbour area, lined with chic street cafes and fresh sea food restaurants by day and a lively nightlife in the bar street area by night. The old part of Kato Paphos is full of old windy streets and traditional buildings with covered fruit and gift markets to browse around and enjoy stunning views over Paphos.
Peyia Village and family activities in the area:
Peyia is a very popular and charming village situated on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Coral Bay. It is very traditional in look and feel with little winding streets and traditional stone houses with an old village church and shops at the centre. Peyia offers visitors a good selection of amenities including banks, doctors, two supermarkets, a fantastic bakery, butchers, fishmongers, DVD shop and launderette. It also offers a good selection of traditional tavernas where you can try the local fish or meat meze, or you can try Sophies that offers themed food evenings throughout the week.
Activities for families include, Water Parks Aquarium, Blue Flag safe beach at Coral Bay, bird and reptile park, donkey sanctuary, ten pin bowling, diving, water sports, boat trips, snorkeling trips, jeep safaris, Children’s and Adults go carting tracks with tunnels, mountain biking, horse riding.
Coral Bay and Akanas Peninsular:
The famous sandy beaches at Coral Bay are just a few minutes drive from Peyia and Coral Bay can be seen from Peyia. Coral Bay offers visitors an alternative selection of shops and restaurants with everything from Italian, Chinese, Cypriot and Indian cuisine. Several of the larger hotels in Coral Bay have very good health spas.
Peyia edges the Akamas Peninsular a preserved area of natural beauty and habitat which is protected for the enjoyment of walkers and climbers. If you are a keen walker, climber or mountain biker you can enjoy guided tours and hire mountain bikes to venture into the Troodos mountain area.
Golf:
For the Golf Enthusiast - There are two excellent Golf courses within half an hour, the most famous of which is Aphrodites Hills a five star Gold resort which hosts many Golf tournaments supported by celebrities. Next to Aphrodites Hills is Secret Valley Golf Course. Both are open to the public.
