This picturesque first floor apartment is situated in the tiny hamlet of Malmsmead and looks out onto the Packhorse Bridge and ford over Badgworthy Water. Malmsmead is the heart of glorious Loona Doone country with its unspoilt moor land, wooded valleys, rivers and streams and the walking from this location is second to none. This protected countryside of the North Exmoor coast was romanticised and beautifully described in R D Blackmore's Lorna Doone, which was set in this stunning landscape. This property is the perfect retreat for those that love the enjoyment of the outdoors. There is a wealth of long history and culture to explore whilst walking amongst the most beautiful parts of the Exmoor National Park.

Malmsmead is a tiny hamlet on the banks of Badgworthy Water with ford and packhorse bridge over the river. The unspoilt countryside of Lorna Doone country, of which Malmsmead forms the heart, is made up of unspoilt dramatic moorelands, wooded valleys, fast flowing rivers and gentle streams. This protected countryside of North Devon, was romanicised by R.D.Blakemore in the classic novel 'Lorna Doone' which is set in this stunning landscape. Close by is Lynmouth with its pretty harbour, with pubs and tea rooms along the waterside, and the cliff railway which links to Lynton, with museum, cafe's and craft shops. Other attractions include The Valley of the Rocks, Woolacombe bay with four miles of golden sands, the surfing beach at Croyde and the fishing village of Clovelly with cobbled streets that lead down to an ancient beautiful harbour and cottages that cling to the hillside. For walkers the coastal path with breathtaking views of land and sea is less than a mile away.
