Edington Mill is the perfect setting from which to explore the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. It is located in a small hamlet, set amidst the rolling Borders countryside and located next to the River Whiteadder. Along the river bank lie tranquil woodland walks. The abundant wildlife, including otter, birds of prey and salmon moving upstream to spawn, provides both relaxation and fascination in equal measure.
The road which takes you to the mill passes Edington Mains Farm and as such is believed to be where the F1 World Champion racing driver Jim Clarke OBE learnt to drive. The mill is located approximately two miles from Chirnside and about six miles from the border towns of Duns and Berwick-upon-Tweed, where you will find a good range of amenities including supermarkets, leisure facilities and eating places. The Loanings are a network of paths and tracks on the north side of the village that offer long and short walks. Wildlife you may encounter partridge, pheasant and larks.
