1 Bedroom apartment in the traditional Portugese town of Sao Martinho do Porto on the silver coast approximately 45 minutes north of Lisbon. A 2 minute walk to the sheltered shell shaped bay which is perfect for families and a really good base for exploring the many popular local places of interest. Apartment has 1 bedroom with a double bed and a double sofabed in the lounge. Open plan kitchen diner and lounge comfortably furnished with tv, dvd and cd player. Modern bathroom with shower. The apartment has a balcony which overlooks the pool and communal garden. Apartment serviced by lift and there is parking for one car in the underground garage. Lovely coffe shop next door to the complex and lots of cafes and bars nearby on the newly laid promenade along the bay.

Sao Martinho do Porto is a very popular tourist area as it is protected from the Atlantic waves. It has a lovely safe sandy beach and a small marina. A very attractive newly laid promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll and you can continue along the boardwalk over the protected area of the bay to the enormous sand dunes which children (and adults) love to climb. There are a selection of restaurants and bars along the promenade in which you relax and enjoy the local cuisine especially the seafood. There is also a daily market in sao martinho where you can buy fresh local produce. Other local attractions include the medieval walled town at Obidos, the spectacular lagoon at Foz do Arelho which is famous for surfing and kite surfing, the fishing town at Nazare and the world heritage monument of Alcobaca Abbey. There are many golf courses within 15-30 minute drive and lots of interesting walking and cycling routes.
