Charming 16th century town house in the heart of the medieval town of Agde (an ancient city with over 2.000 years of history) - a colourful and busy fishing port and market town on the river Herault. Minutes to beautiful sandy beaches, golf and short walk to the Canal du Midi and the train station. There is a spacious kitchen/dinning & living room on the ground floor with 2 double sofa beds. A staircase leads to the upper floor - two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate WC. The large main bedroom gives out onto a balcony overlooking a small square.

The International Airport: At Montpellier is 30 min drive form Agde. Other nearby airports - Carcassonne, Perpignan, and Nimes 1hr. drive- Low fare flights by Ryanair; and the new airport 10km away BEZIERS-AGDE flights from LONDON and BRISTOL . Agde is also on the direct Eurostar line from London (St. Pancras station). Driving from Clermont Ferrand arrive to Agde via the spectacular viaduct over the Tarn gorge - Norman Foster's splendid bridge at Millau - It carries the A75 autoroute high into the clouds... and Agde is then only an hour away to the south.

Carcassonne: and the castles of the Cathars are an easy drive away to the west. The dramatic gorges and caves of the stunning Haut-Languedoc national park are close inland. To the east the Camargue, the great nature reserve the home of white horses and black bulls. Nearby is the nature reserve of Bagnas and the beautiful lake ‘Etange de Thau’ with its oysters and mussels beds and rose-pink flamingos, also a wonderful place for boating and wind-surfing. 5 mins to the vibrant resort town of Cap d'Agde which offers the usual pleasures of the Med - nightclubs, cinemas....Aqualand, the popular water theme park and the famous private naturist quarter!(though you don't come across it unless you look for it)
