The flat is located nearby the 'new town' on the right bank of the Elbe, but also close to the inner city. The name 'new town' might be irritating to tourist, since this part of the city was named 'Altendresden' and was getting city rights in 1403. After a great fire it was rebuilt in 1658 as part of Dresden, getting the name 'new town'
in these days. One of the most famous Statue of King August the Strong, known as the 'Golden Horseman' is located in New Town. Just a few steps north one of the most cultural quarters is located. Here it is where a
various number of restaurants, bars are located as well as a large variety of different kinds of shops and cultural galleries are situated. Some say that the atmosphere is comparable to London’s “Notting Hill” or SOHO in New York.
