Lodge 70 is a spacious and comfortable holiday lodge situated overlooking the golf course at Hartland Forest Golf & Leisure Parc, located between Bude and Bideford in north Devon. Featuring an open plan kitchen and dining room seating up to 8, the timber vaulted ceiling gives the lounge an airy feel while the double glazed picture windows and sliding doors give views across the golf course to open fields. The lodge has three bedrooms (one double with en suite shower and two twin) all with fitted wardrobes. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of room to relax on the two large sofas in the lounge. TV with DVD player and also a CD player/radio. One sofa converts to a double bed. Bathroom with shower over bath. Sliding doors from the lounge lead out onto a decked area with garden furniture overlooking the golf course with views of the countryside.

Along north Devon's stunning coastline discover picturesque fishing villages and sandy coves. Just 5 miles from Lodge 70, walk the steep cobbles of Clovelly down to the 14th century harbour immortalised by countless artists. Local beaches include Sandymouth Bay, Duck Pool and Bucks Mill. Other beaches to explore include Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands and Braunton, while surfers head to nearby Bude. Coarse fishing can be had at Upper Tamar Lake and also at Hartland Parc itself. Make use of Hartland Parc's own golf course or choose from nearby courses at Bude, Holsworthy and Great Torrington. The world famous Eden Project is around an hour's drive awy but for closer gardens and historic houses visit Hartland Abbey, Tapeley House and Gardens, Rosemoor or Marwood Gardens and the NT's Arlington Court. Local potteries and studios abound while children would love a visit to the Big Sheep or the Milky Way adventure park. In addition, the choice and variety of walks locally is outstanding.

Clean, modern wood cabin in North Devon

Booked the cottage for the August Bank Holiday weekend, originally for 6 adults but ended up with 4 due to a couple pulling out. Took a while for the owner originally to get back to me but she explained that she had been away on vacation. Thereafter sorting out finances was easy and efficient.
The descriptions of the cabin were very accurate - it was new, well equiped with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, and a decent lounge with a TV with satellite (SKY) and a hifi. Most importantly it was very clean with plenty of bedding and towels.
Location wise - you need a car! We found the detailed instructions to get to the property vital as the property is located in an area which is not well covered by BMW's satellite navigation! The cabin itself overlooks a golf course between Bideford and Bude with ducks wandering past occasionally!
In terms of activities, the cabin is well situated to explore North Devon and there was plenty to see. The only minor downsides were the weather (it does rain in Devon) and the fact that the communal bins were a bit of a struggle to find.
Would definately recommend again.
