Il Piaggione di Serravalle is one of those hidden gems in wine country one imagines all his life! Handed down from generations, the farmhouse has kept its simple country feel that makes you feel at ease the minute you arrive. Surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, roses and inhabited with Alberto Inglese's sculptures, the house has a very special, unique feel. The high up position on the hills of Vagliagli, the house offers open views over the castles in Chianti classico. In 2009 a new wellness area was built in the glassed panoramic loggia hosting a hot tub, a sauna, a steam bath and a whirlpool. Il Piaggione di Serravalle hosts 2 large apartments sleeping up to 6 each in the main house and an independent barn sleeping up to 4. The large gardens and huge panoramic swimming pool ensures all guests have plenty of space to enjoy their privacy. The house is just a few kms from the village of Vagliagli where you have shops and amenities.

Capanna is a very cozy, intimate, independent barn on the larger estate of Piaggione di Serravalle. The barn sits in a discreet position of the estate, has a private terrace equipped with BBQ, table, chairs and umbrella. It has a direct access to the wellness area and to the large panoramic swimming pool. Inside, the barn offers a cozy lounge with fireplace, a fully fitted kitchen, a twin and double bedroom and a bathroom. The decor is simple, typical of country houses, yet fully functional. The barn can be rented for a group of 4 from May to September. Between October and April (winter holidays and Easter excluded) the house can only be rented with La Nostra for larger groups of min 8 guests.

Vagliagli is a small, pretty hilltop village 1 km above Aiola, the famous and excellent winery. This is the highest point in Chianti at 630 mt asl, enjoying superb views of Chianti and its Castles, and of very cool air in the hottest months. This is the very heart of Chianti, base of Dario Castagno, author of Too much Tuscan Sun - we highly recommend reading his books before coming out to Piaggione di Serravalle. There is a lovely restaurant in the village and a wine bar.
