Chalet Bijouli, is a deluxe privately owned terraced chalet situated at 1200 metres, on a sunny southerly plateau 12 minutes walk from the centre of Wengen. It is 2 mins walk above Wengwald train station, with mountain ski trains (3 up/3 down an hour) to Wengen centre (for the Mannlichen chair), Kleine Scheidegg (for the lauberhorn runs) and Lauterbrunnen, from where you can catch direct connections to Zurich or Geneva airports. Four star accommodation certified by Swiss tourist board comprises: Master bedroom with luxury ensuite equipped with a 'jacuzzi' bath. Two further double bedrooms both with basins and a separate luxury shower room with w/c. Fully fitted luxury kitchen including granite worktops, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge. Seperate dining area. Ski locker in cellar. Double height lounge with log burner and antique stove. There is cable and satellite television, DVD/VHS player & library. The lounge, dining area and master bedroom all access the sun terrace.

Ideally situated on outskirts of Wengen village, lying at the foot of the famous Eiger Monch and Jungfrau range within the Jungfrau world heritage site; an area of outstanding natural beauty. Bijouli offers relaxation in pure mountain air with lots of sunshine even in the snow! There are numerous activities walking,hiking, mountaineering and winter sports being the obvious but you can just sit and enjoy the wonderful views making it an ideal location to visit winter and summer alike! The world's hardest marathon the Jungfrau takes place every September and The World Cup ski circuit comes to town in January. It is ideally situated for visiting Interlaken and Bern by train or the local resorts of Grindelwald with its views of the Eiger North Wall or car free Murren all accessible by cable car of which there are 15 to local beauty points. Whilst at Murren you can visit the Schilthorn where 007 On Her Majesty's Secret Service was filmed or spend a day at the top of the Jungfrau at 3454m

Notes: The chalet is looked after by Dorothee and Giger Von Allman of Chalet Service who offer invaluable help and extra services eg baby sitting, food delivery, cleaning (obviously they charge for these and any services extra services would have to be agreed with them). There is also a great tourist office in Wengen In Wengen you will find everything you need shops (many deliver) hotels with sports facilities, bars, restaurants, sports shops with hire facilities and several ski schools. There is a nursery slope, ice rink, crèche and play facilities. In the centre of the village there is the cable car to Mannlichen with its miles of pistes where whatever your level you can ski, board, toboggan, hike or just lay in the sun with a glass or two and enjoy the ambiance! This is a car free resort so you must leave your car in Lauterbrunnen car park and use the mountain railway. Most ski/train passes will cover your mountain railway trip between Lauterbrunnen, Wengwald and Wengen
