Pagham is a small, sea front town boasting a nature reserve located close to Pagham Lagoon. It features interesting wildlife to attract both the amateur and serious birdwatcher. The beach itself is pebbly for the most part, and is enjoyed by windsurfers and other watersports enthusiasts as well as families. It has the advantaged of shallow waters for some distances making it ideal for the younger visitors.
Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve is an internationally important site for nature conservation, featuring plant and animal habitats of global rarity.
The Reserve covers 1500 acres, about half of which is saltmarsh and mudflats, while the rest comprises farmland, copses, lagoons, reedbeds and shingle beaches.
Local attractions include birdwatching and pastel painting workshops, a bug hunt, the ever popular Marine Madness and Beach Beasties events, art exhibitions, walks and lots more. There are lots of country pubs with excellent food nearby. Chichester is
