Casal Palma has beautiful views of the Portuguese countryside, a lovely pool area with loungers and seating for dining al-fresco. There is a sun deck and a gas BBQ as well as a charcoal BBQ. The garden has raised beds with flowers, orange, lemon and olive trees. The house is traditionally built with thick stone walls that keep the house cool in the summer. The windows are shuttered with insect screens. The main house has been carefully modernised and the owners have thought of everything to make this a real home from home. Sitting room with flat screen TV, Satellite, DVD , CD, wood burner and comfortable sofas. Main bedroom with double bed and modern en-suite bathroom. Second bedroom with double bed. Children's bedroom with bunk beds, further modern bathroom with shower/ bath. The fourth bedroom has twin beds. Dining room and well-equipped kitchen. There is a self contained annex adjoining the property, available to rent together with the house at a 15% discount.

The annex is a is available to rent throughout the year and has recently been modernised. Tastefully furnished and extremely well equipped the annex comfortably sleeps up to 4 people. It has its own terrace with BBQ, table and chairs for 4 under large umbrella, and a lovely views. There are stairs leading to pool area, which is furnished with loungers and tables. Sliding doors lead to a large open plan sitting room/dining room with a well equipped modern kitchen. The sitting room has a double futon that is very comfortable bed. There is a flat screen tv, DVD player and air-conditioning. The separate master bedroom has a double bed with en-suite shower/ bathroom and air conditioning. The annex is rented with private use of the pool unless rented together (at a discount) with main house.

Casal Palma is nestled on a sunny hillside with pretty views over the small hamlet of Juncais with typical white washed villas dotting the valley below. It offers the best of both worlds, the peace of the countryside yet the famous beaches of the Algarve are just twenty minutes by car. This part of the Algarve has something for everyone, from the chic marina of Vilamoura to pretty island beaches that are reached crossing the blue lagoons of the Ria Formosa, a bird watchers delight. For those who love to shop and enjoy good food there is Loule which has a daily market of freshly caught fish and locally grown fruits and vegetables. Twenty kilometers south east is Tavira, often described as the 'jewel' of the Algarve, which has managed to retain its character and charm. Small brightly coloured fishing boats go out daily, and the unspoilt Island of Tavira is a beach lovers delight. Activities include: Waterparks, Zoomarine, fishing, golf, walking, cycling, watersports, eating out.

There are pretty walks in this area and Sao Bras has good restaurants an indoor municipal pool and also an outdoor municipal pool that is open in the summer with poolside cafe. Faro is a 20 minute drive as are many of the Algarves famous Blue Flag beaches.

Pool: The pool is a non chemical pool system - no chlorine - and the quality is similar to tap water in the UK making this perfect for children who love to swim all day.

Sao Bras: Situated in the perfect spot to enjoy all that the Algarve is famous for, excellent beaches, golf and water sport. The town itself has a long history and there is a museum where on Sundays there is often a jazz night. Sao Bras in the past was a cork centre and there are walks that take you through the rich countryside along the cork route and also a cork museum. This is where the beautiful cork bags are made as well as other items such as umbrellas and gloves and the shop is in the centre of Sao Bras. The town has lots of restaurants from places to get pizzas to international menus. A favourite with locals and visitors is Luis de Frango which is always busy as they serve freshly grilled chicken in a lovely atmosphere and it really is good value. For a change there is a beautifully maintained outdoor public pool in Sao Bras, set in the verbena gardens and with an attached cafe.

Theme parks: There is an excellent multi-lingual tourist information office in the centre of Sao Bras with details and brochures of all on offer in the Algarve. within easy driving distance are: Zoomarine Aquashow Krazyworld Aqualand
