Delightful holiday villa situated on a Domaine in the hills behind Le Lavandou and enjoying beautiful views of the hillside village of Bormes-les-Mimosas and surrounding countryside. From the car parking area there are steps down through a terraced garden full of colourful plants and flowers to the front patio which has a table and four chairs for outside dining. The villa is accessed through large glass sliding doors leading into a conservatory housing a large dining table with seating for six to eight. This room has sliding glass windows the length of the rear wall with views across to the opposite hillside. Inside is a lounge area with wicker sofa and chair, and kitchen with gas oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Rear door from the kitchen leads to back patio with table and chairs. Videos and DVDs can be played on the TV. The main bedroom has double bed and two wardrobes and drawers, second has bunk beds with wardrobe. Shower room has WC and basin.

Le Lavandou is a pretty coastal town with a great choice of bars and restaurants and a market every Thursday. There are numerous sandy beaches within easy driving distance, and many activities on offer locally including watersports and golf as well as some beautiful walking and cycling tracks. St Tropez, Nice, Cannes and Monaco are all within driving distance and trips can be taken to the islands off the coast. Nice and Marseilles airports are approx. 1.5 hours drive from Le Lavandou and Toulon airport is only 30 mins away, with Ryanair flights available from London Stansted. Car hire is readily available from all airports, and there is also a fast TGV service into Toulon. The channel ports are approx. 750 miles away and can be reached in a day by car.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are based on two adults and include all local charges. Children under 10 don't incur charges, however there are extra local charges for additional adults and children aged 10 years and over, which are available on request. Charges vary with season.
    £100.00 per week deposit required to secure booking, with balance due 8 weeks before start of booking.
    £100.00 returnable accident/damage deposit required per booking.
    Duvets and pillows are provided, guests will need to bring their own bed linen, towels, tea towels etc.
    The villa must be left clean and tidy in readiness for the next guests - cleaning equipment and materials are provided.
    Villa is available from 3.00pm on the day of rental and should be vacated by 11.00am on day of departure.
    Rentals run Saturday to Saturday in high season but we will consider other requirements during the winter period, including longer term rentals.

Notes: The villa is situated on a private Domaine with a barrier at the entrance and exit. There is a communal swimming pool and a small childrens' pool, both of which are open from the beginning of June until the end of September. There is also a restaurant situated at the bottom of the Domaine, as well as an office with English-speaking staff. The villa is equipped with electric wall-mounted heaters for the colder months, and has a gas oven and hob with four rings.The television is only suitable for playing DVD's and videos, there is no access to any television channels. There is a private parking area above the garden, which has steps leading down to the villa and is therefore not suitable for the elderly or infirm. During the main summer season changeover day falls on a Saturday, however we will consider other requirements outside of peak time.

A lovely property for a couple or small family

We stayed in the second half of August 2009 and found it to be a great base for exploring and enjoying the beaches around Le Lavandou and Cavalaire. The property is located on a private, gated domaine which has its own swimming pool. This is great if, like us, you have children. They spent most mornings in the pool. Men - beware that Bermuda shorts are not permitted in the pool - you must have proper speedo style swimming trunks to swim - the officious pool attendant won't let you in otherwise!

The property itself has a very well equipped kitchen with pretty well everything you might need if you are self catering. There is a lovely conservatory with windows which open the full length of the room, and there are also open seating areas to dine both in front and at the back.

It is perfect for two adults and two children - the children's room being a bunk room wouldn't really accommodate adults, but for a family with young children, its fine.

We loved it, and would definitely go back.
